What is Alankar in Music, Definition of Alankar –
Aalnkar is an ornament of indian music, which enhances its beauty.
Regular characters of Varna are called Alankar or palta in Indian classical music. Its enhance the beauty of the structure of a Raga thats why its called Alankar (ornament). The development and nourishment of ornaments by sheltering the Varna. What will be the ascending rule, the same rule will be descending. For example – if – sarega, regama, mapadha, padhani, dhanisa then the ascending will be sanidha, nidhapa, dhapama, pamaga, magare, garesa. (Alankar in Indian Classical Music )
